Excellence Begins With
Your Consultation
The secret behind Invisalign is precision.
There’s no need for messy dental impressions. In a few minutes, our iTero Element® scanner creates a 3D digital image of your teeth.
Using the image, we develop a custom treatment plan based on millions of data points from our previous cases. We only move the teeth that need to be moved, creating exactly the smile you’re looking for.
Previewing Your
New Smile
Imagine being able to see what your beautiful new smile will look like before you even begin treatment.
Invisalign does exactly this, using advanced technology to predict each tooth’s movement throughout the realignment process.
Thanks to our unmatched technological ability, your final results will be just like we predicted.

Your Custom Aligners
Made of the innovative SmartTrack® material, Invisalign aligners are virtually invisible and more comfortable to wear than ever before. Thanks to the precision of our technology, the surface of the aligner is individually trimmed to fit the shape of your teeth. Each aligner is inspected to meet the high-quality Invisalign standards.
Dr. Sheehan will be with you for every step of the Invisalign process. When you get your first set of clear aligners, she’ll make sure they fit well, answer any questions you may have, and provide clarity on what to expect.
Live Well & Enjoy Your Life
You’ll regularly receive your new aligners about every two weeks. Wear your aligners for 20 to 22 hours a day for optimal results, removing them to eat, drink, or to hang out with your friends.
While your teeth straighten, you can continue to eat all your favorite foods, play your favorite sports, and do all the things you love to do.
Live your life with freedom, knowing that you’re on the path to a gorgeous smile that you’ll love to show off with confidence.
Maintaining Your Aligners
Keeping your aligners clean and clear is easy. Gently brush them with a toothbrush each night and they’ll stay fresh. You’ll be provided with an Invisalign cleaning system to keep them clear of debris.
Every six to eight weeks, you’ll schedule check-ups so we can monitor your progress and provide you with your next batch of aligners. The days of emergency dental visits due to broken brackets or snagged wires are over.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does Invisalign hurt?
Invisalign aligners are one of the most comfortable, effective orthodontic treatments available. They’re custom-made to only move the teeth that need to be moved, eliminating unnecessary discomfort and pain. When you begin Invisalign treatment, you may feel minimal pressure for the first day or two, but it should wear off.
How long does the Invisalign treatment take?
The duration for Invisalign treatment varies from patient to patient, but it typically takes 12 to 18 months. You’ll start treatment with a fresh set of custom aligners and come in for a check-up every six to eight weeks. During your check-up, you’ll pick up the next series of aligners.
Is Invisalign removable?
Yes, Invisalign is completely removable but should be worn for at least 20 hours every day to ensure effective results.
How do you clean and maintain your Invisalign trays?
To clean and maintain your Invisalign trays, you should rinse your aligners with warm water and gently brush them each night.
Can I remove my braces and get Invisalign?
Yes, it’s possible to remove conventional metal braces and get Invisalign aligners. It’s best to schedule a free consultation with your Waterford dentist so we examine your teeth and determine the best course of action for you.
How much does Invisalign cost?
The cost of Invisalign is different for each patient and their individual case. Generally, Invisalign treatment expenses begin at $3,500 and up. During your initial consultation, Dr. Sheehan will be able to provide you with a more accurate estimate after reviewing your oral health.
